Preparing for the performance test

It is easy to prepare for the test. Simply study the apposite section of the program. It consents the user to choose the units to be tested, indicate the precision of the singular phases of the test and prepare the system as to assure reliable results.

Real time visualization

After the test has been started up, the behaviour of the Storage system is visualized and stored in real time. During this stage, in order to improve the ability to read the results, the ‘adapted’ progress is calculated and visualised and the average values are transformed into instant data.

Visualizing the benchmark

Once the test is completed, a general index will be visualized which is obtained from a mathematical average of each individual test. In addition, specific index are visualized which demonstrate the performance of the Storage system according to their possible usage. The results are the calculated averages extracted from each test. Each single phase of the test can be examined in detail, and the results can be customized and represented graphically according to requirements.

Comparison and Management of Results

Disk Benchmark is equipped with a section which demonstrates the detailed characteristics of the storage system of the computer on which it is installed. The list of the characteristics can be exported and imported to be compared. Each list becomes a kind of ‘photograph’ of the storage system.
